Sadly our celebrity and sensation bound TV industry no longer has much room for inspirational communicators like Carl Sagan.
The Sagan Series project has taken some of Sagan's most memorable commentaries and edited them to archive film. If you watch the original Cosmos TV series, the visual style takes you back to to the late 70s. That is charming but distracts from Sagan's words, which are timeless. The archive treatment works and demonstrates that video is at its best when inspiring us.
